Invasive test are required insertion of catheters into the heart and circulation.
A study performed cardiac catheterization for OZ saturation and pressure measurement on 707 patients diagnosed as congenital heart disease at the Seoul National University Hospital, Dept. of special laboratory from January, 1986 to December 1986.
The result were as follows.
1) Cardiac catheterization was performed in 707 cases nomal OZ saturation and pressure was observed in 1 case. 706 cases were need to be operated.
2 ) The type of congenital heart disease (C.H.D.) was ventricular septal defect(VSD) in 285 cases (40.3%), Atrial septal defect (ASD) in 64(9.0%) Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) in 285(40.3%), etc.
3 ) In them, of the 535 cases type distribution was simple type, 100 cases were 2 complex, 3 complex in 43 cases, and 4 complex over in 29 cases.
